Paraná is a reference in software quality with nine companies certified with the CMMI. The companies that now meet the requirements of quality model between 2009 and 2010 are: Aten Technology, Cinq Technologies, ESAT Consulting Systems, HSBC Global Technology Brazil, Inovare Technology, Computer Systems QLA, DataServer Sigma Computers, Computers and Wise Visionnaire Systems. The achievement of these companies was extremely positive for the state of Paraná. In 2008 only one company (CITS) had CMMI. Today, with the approval of nine firms, Paraná is in second place in the CMMI certification in Brazil staying behind of São Paulo that, in turn, accounts for several multinationals that come already certified to Brazil.
